NHS Dog Walkers from are invited to walk our shelter dogs. This will not be a long walk for our dogs. All dogs will join the Parade as it passes by the doggie staging area, at the Brooks Rehab parking lot. We will primarily be walking around the lake at the area near the Shops. Parking is limited so we will carpool / ride share from the shelter. Rob and staff will transport our dogs in the NHS van.
If you would like to be part of this event and have a "special" dog at the Shelter that you would like to walk, Rob and staff will make an every effort to hook you up.
There will plenty of dogs, enough for everyone. Just be at the Shelter by 9:00.
Please let Sandra Terry know if you are able to participate. She may be contacted on her cell 753-3686
Yes, we even have jobs for non-dog walkers!
We need your help before, after and during the Parade.
You may volunteer for specific duties or fill in as needed. We need contest judges, donation collectors, water bowl fillers and more.
Please try to save a couple of hours in you schedule to support the homeless animals at Nassau Humane Society on
Sat. July 3rd
They depend on our help!
