Rudy

hi fran,
i almost emailed you last night... he is doing great. he's eating a bunch, getting brushed plenty, playing with all of his new toys and starting to do that puppy thing where he goes a little crazy and then poops out and falls asleep on the floor. He follows me everywhere (or annabelle) and when i'm cooking dinner i can usually find him asleep right behind me the kids have totally bonded. savannah (the little one) got angry with me yesterday when i told him off of the couch and told me i broke his heart. we really love him. savannah is on my lap right now and wants me to tell you  that she loves you. Annabelle said to say thank you again. he's only had a few accidents in the house (my fault really) and he's designated his own areas out back. he's learning to play with the balls and he loves this silly stuffed duck we gave him that quacks when he throws it. he's learned how to use the cone as a scoop and it's really funny to see him toss up the toy with
the cone and then throw his head back and jump around. one night he ran at me when i was on the computer and slid across the tile..he looked like he was smiling when he finally stopped. next week he's got his vet appointment here.. and he starts beginner doggy school on the 30th. we met the trainer and she seems great. He's really wonderful... seems very smart and of course adorable. our neighbors said we had won "life's lottery". I'll send you some pictures after the cone comes off and he looks a little more like himself.
fondly,
gretchen spencer
